Our Team
Committed to helping you

Raina Hawthorne is a Registered Physiotherapist, wife, and mother to two
young girls. She blends her knowledge and training as a Physiotherapist with
her experiences as a mother to provide her patients with care that considers
and respects their whole person. She encourages her patients to trust in themselves
and be active in their own healing.
Raina completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with the University of Lethbridge, graduating with Honours. She went on to complete a Master of Science in Physical Therapy with the University of Alberta. Once practicing as a Physiotherapist, Raina completed further specialized training and is registered to practice as a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist. This training includes bladder and bowel concerns, pregnancy, diastasis recti abdominis (abdominal separation), pelvic pain, and more. She has also completed advanced training in addressing general chronic/persisting pain conditions as well as training in Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and other connective tissue conditions through the EDS Society's ECHO training program. She is passionate about helping guide patients through determining the various underlying factors that contribute to pain and other symptoms as well as the complex co-existing conditions that often occur alongside connective tissue conditions, auto-immune, and inflammatory pain conditions. She is certified to perform acupuncture and dry needling and can integrate these techniques into any physiotherapy treatment.
Raina loves spending time with her family, is a long-time yogi, and an avid runner. She is (slowly) working toward resuming triathlons after a break following the birth of her daughters. She loves getting to know her patients and is happy to answer any questions you may have!

Clinic Owner

Kim Umphrey has been an RMT since 2009. She has experience treating clients with
neurodiversity, sensory processing challenges, hypermobility, and inflammatory conditions.
She also has experience with pregnancy related issues, accidents, and injuries. She works
with her clients to find effective and realistic solutions that fit easily into her client's daily lives.
Myo-fascial techniques, sports massage, and kinesio-taping are all additional areas that she has studied, along with high level training in prenatal massage, including massage for higher-risk pregnancies, infant massage, and training as a labour support provider (doula).
Her style is like a slow, precise steam roller, and she believes in working with the body, not forcing things.
Kim is not only a massage therapist, but also a Certified Holistic Nutrition Consultant Professional, as well. She is excited to offer educational wellness workshops through her side business, Knot Another Guru.
